STARS was founded in July 2013 in Panjim, Goa, connecting like-minded persons in order to give back to members of our society who truly need help.

As the name implies, our vision has always been to spend quality time reaping smiles on the marginalized people in our society by developing long-term relationships with them. We work through team activities to inspire and brighten the spirits of those we assist, with a focus on creating a sense of belonging.

We have been actively working on developing various events and programmes to give underprivileged children, the elderly, the handicapped, and the sick a genuine opportunity to truly be a part of the modern lifestyle that most people today follow.

The main focuses of STARS are:

• Rehabilitation Center
• Support to the Girl Child
• Outreach to Special Cases

Through simple activities such as football coaching, dance training, Zumba sessions, art & craft workshops, value education sessions, counselling sessions, medical checkups, and beauty treatments, we always strive to add value and improve the lives of the people in the Homes we visit. In our eight years of operation, we have completed over 400 visits/events with Homes for Orphans, Aged, Special Children, Destitute Women, and Persons affected by HIV.

We also identify various segments of society, such as single mothers struggling to make ends meet, underprivileged children in need of education, improving their talents, and channelling their energy, with the aim of providing them every opportunity for a brighter future.

Since then, STARS has expanded its efforts to help the less fortunate members of our society who are in desperate need of assistance, while also ensuring a ripple effect of giving back, encouraging our beneficiaries to start taking responsibility in a way that will bring about social and environmental change for a better tomorrow.
